@george-k said in Pick A Better Martyr: I just find it interesting how, under the rules of the court, so much of what we read in the press, is shown to be not the case. They got the skin color correct, the rest is just filler.

He was on the president's advisory board Making the president look like a hero is a no-brainer He had to predict the end of the world, it's the job The world didn't end? Let's all thank Mr. Biden.

@doctor-phibes said in Vaccination etiquette question: @copper said in Vaccination etiquette question: Here we are 20 years later with TSA still trying to prevent 9/11 It's the same panic 9/11 is over, you can't stop it, but the TSA continues to try I think the general idea is to stop it happening again. Reliance on 'Lightning doesn't strike twice' isn't a very good survival strategy, particularly, it has to be said, if you're a steeplejack. Actually the two drivers may be confidence of the flying public and government jobs to dole out at this point.

I'm sure. We are always checking the maps. We generally don't get a lot until close to June.

I'm sure MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred has given up his membership at Augusta, we just haven't heard about it yet.

@george-k said in 9% American White Males: According to numbers provided by the University, fewer than nine percent of them (129 out of the 1498) are white American males. I wouldn't attend a school that had less 37% white American males. That would be racist.

@lufins-dad said in I wonder how the non-GMO crowd: The science shows that GMO foods are safe and healthier than non-GMO https://www.nap.edu/catalog/23395/genetically-engineered-crops-experiences-and-prospects GMO foods have likely saved more lives than the vaccines will over time. So why accept one genetically modified solution and reject another. Science says both are safe. Because in agriculture the modified genes spread. You can't grow a field of GMO corn and not see those genes start to show up in adjacent farns.
